Nova Scotia RCMP say 43-year-old man shot at home by three masked men

HEAD OF CHEZZETCOOK, N.S. — RCMP are searching for three suspects after 43-year-old Nova Scotia man was shot in the stomach at his home.

The Mounties say the victim was unable to identify his attackers, but investigators do not believe the shooting was a random act.

Police say three masked men entered the home on Mary Etta Drive in Head of Chezzetcook on Thursday around 3:35 p.m., and shot the man.

The victim was flown to hospital with life-threatening injuries, although police say he is expected to survive.

Police say the suspects left the home on foot and may have left the area in a vehicle.

A police dog team was called in, but was unable to locate them.
