Trevor Russell, a 27-year-old St. George’s man, has been arrested and charged with criminal harassment, intimidation and intimidation of a justice system participant.
He was originally charged by RCMP following an armed robbery investigation in September of 2018; however, those charges were dismissed on April 11 following his trial in Provincial Court in Stephenville.
On April 16, Bay St. George RCMP received a report of ongoing harassment and attempts to intimidate a court witness. The victim in this instance had been a witness who had previously provided testimony at Russell’s trial.
The new charges were laid after an investigation into the matter.
Russell was released under a judge's recognizance to appear in court on May 6.
