With the eight original lots at the business park in Burin spoken for, the town is opening up additional lots.
“The next area that we are putting in the road for will handle approximately 25 lots,” town manager Leo Hartson told the Southern Gazette.
Seven of the eight existing lots were sold and one was donated to the Burin Peninsula Autism Family Support Group.
According to Hartson, the town has already received interest in several of the additional lots.
“We’ve got a commitment (for) two already, and another individual is (possibly) interested in some more.”
Hartson said the sale of the lots could mean good things for the Town of Burin.
“It should increase our tax base and revenues as a result of commercial taxes.”
