KIPPENS, N.L. — A report of a suspected impaired driver in Kippens on Sunday evening, July 14, led to the arrest of a 43-year-old woman.
Members of the Bay St. George RCMP received the report at about 7:30 p.m. and officers located the vehicle and the driver a short time later.
The police took the woman back to the detachment where she provided breath samples. The police allege the breath samples recorded a reading of more than twice the legal limit.
The woman was issued a driver's licence suspension and her vehicle was impounded. She is scheduled to attend court on Sept. 16 to face charges of impaired driving.
The Bay St. George RCMP said in their press release they thank the public for continuing to report suspected impaired drivers.
