CORNER BROOK, N.L. — Saturday was a big day for Pride Week celebrations in Corner Brook as a few hundred people took to the streets to march in the annual Pride Parade.

The parade went from the civic square outside Corner Brook City Hall, down Main Street, up Mount Bernard Avenue and on to O'Connell Drive before ending at Margaret Bowater Park.

All along the route, the pride and transgender colours could be seen as members of the LGBTQ+ community, their families, friends and allies joined together in the parade.

Later Saturday a Queer Prom was held at the Grenfell Campus Student Union Backlot at Grenfell.

The week wrapped up on Sunday with an inclusive church service at First United Church and an gender neutral clothing swap at Grenfell.
