Stephenville medical clinic getting an exterior facelift

STEPHENVILLE, N.L. — The Bay St. George Medical Clinic is getting an exterior upgrade.
The work to the clinic, located at 129 Montana Drive in Stephenville, includes removal of the existing siding, windows and doors and the installation of new windows, doors, insulation and siding.
The existing siding and portions of the interior walls contain asbestos and the appropriate asbestos abatement regulations will be adhered to during the removal of those materials.
Barricades have been placed around the work area and signage will reference that asbestos abatement is occurring.
The Department of Transportation and Works is overseeing the project, which began on Aug. 21.
