Barbara Joan Nash (nee Carew)

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Barbara Joan Nash (nee Carew) announce her passing on Thursday February 28, 2019 in Scarborough, ON at the age of 78. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories; son Darren Carew (Scarborough, ON), daughter Debbie (Don) Walsh, Hamilton, ON and daughter-in-law Theresa Carew (Corner Brook), brother; Jim (Sonia) Carew, sister; Frances O'Flaherty, grandchildren; Marie (Alan) Carew, Tonya (Richie) Carew, Shelly (Brian) Walsh, Chuck (Trina) Walsh, Cory (Natashia) Companion, Monty (Christine) Companion, Shayna (Jessie) Companion along with twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; special niece Kelly (Danny) Piercey along with many other nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents; Michael and Allie Carew, husband: Eric Nash, son: Monty Carew, brothers: Ted, Milford and Michael. Family will be receiving friends from Fillatre’s Funeral Home 218 Curling Street Monday & Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 6th, 2019 at 2:00 pm from St. Mary’s Anglican Church with The Most Reverend S. Stewart Payne officiating, followed by the interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
