PIKE Myrtle Elizabeth (Brake) February 24, 1937 – September 26, 2019 Corner Brook, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elizabeth (Betty) Pike announce her peaceful passing at her home in Corner Brook on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at the age of 82 years following a year long battle with cancer. Leaving to mourn with fond and precious memories her loving children: James (Barbara), Corner Brook, Elizabeth (Merlin Landry), Ft. McMurray, AB, Robert, Berwick, NS, Peggy (Shawn Breen), Peace River, AB, Christine Gripton, Corner Brook, and Melissa (Steve MacDonald), Ft. McMurray, AB; grandchildren: Joshua (Stacey), Stephanie (Alex Donald), Jonathan, Meaghan (Jared Hart), Kathleen (Bryden Bent), Luke McDonald, Louise McDonald, Michael McDonald, Amy Gripton (Ian Spencer), Rosasharon Gripton (Evan McDonough), and Tina Gripton; 8 great-grandchildren; sister Elaine Thorne (Ted); brothers: Kalvin Penney (Barb) and Keith Penney, sisters-in-law Mary Penney, Carol Ann Weldon (Stu) and brothers in law Ron Pike (Bernadette) and Claude Pike (Grace) as well as a large circle of nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Robert; son in law Rev. Jamie Gripton; mother and step father Ivy and George Penney, brother Jim Penney and brother in law Ern Pike. Cremation has taken place. The family will be holding a private memorial at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
