Charlie (Sidney) Piercey

Cox’s Cove, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Charlie (Sidney) Piercey announce his passing on Friday, July 27th, 2018 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 73 years. He was predeceased by the love of his life, Colette (Mainville). He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his son Shawn, daughter-in-law Tammy (Gaudette), grandchildren: Meghan, Jordan, great-granddaughter Amberlyn, his siblings: Martha Higgins, Bill, Murdock (Maude), Cyril Irving, Dorothy Brown, Ken, Violet Taylor, Melvin (Judy) and Gary (Joy Thistle), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Charlie was predeceased by his wife of 44 years; Colette Marie (Mainville), parents Ronald and Matilda (Murrin) Piercey, brother Moses, sister Effie (Piercey) Irving, sister-in-law Georgina (Kelloway) Piercey, brothers in law: Charles “Butch” Taylor and Keith Higgins. Family and friends may visit St. Nicholas’ Anglican Church, Cox’s Cove on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 from the hours of 9am – noon from where the funeral service will take place at 2pm with Rev. Mario Melendez officiating. Interment to follow at the St. Nicholas Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted and/or memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Alzheimer’s Society or to St. Nicholas’ Anglican Church Memorial Fund.
