MARTINEAU Claude J. Mar. 21, 1934 - July 6, 2019 Corner Brook, NL Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, Claude Martineau, on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 85 years. He leaves to mourn with fond loving memories, his wife Rejeanne Martineau of 62 years. His children: Daniel Martineau (Karen), Sylvain Martineau, (Wanda); his grandchildren: Andre (Denise), Justin (Jennifer), Nicole Hinks (Ryan); his great grandchildren: Norah & Elijah Martineau; Sisters: Lucette Mighault (Jean Claude), Therese Rancourt; Brother: Gatien Martineau (Lucy): Sisters in Law: Colette Jeroux (Noel), Leonette Gregoire, Nicole Leclerc (Serge Gosselen); Brothers in Law: Gererd Leclerc, Guston Leclerc (Odette), Lucien Leclerc, Roger Leclerc (Norma), Serge Leclerc (Jeanette), Joceylen Leclerc (Danielle Lecourt) and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, especially his close friends Bud and Elaine Platt. His furry friend Cody. Claude was predeceased by his parents: Phillip & Cecille Martineau; Parents in law: Alcide and Edith Leclerc; His granddaughter: Renee Martineau; His brother: Normand Martineau; Brothers in law: Andre Leclerc, Maurice Gregoire; Sister in law Ruth Leclerc. A visitation for family and friends was held from Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road, on Tuesday, July 9 from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9pm. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at 10am from the Most Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Parish, Mount Bernard Avenue, with Father Andrew White officiating. Interment has taken place at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations can be made to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation.
