Corner Brook, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edna M. Hartley announce her passing at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Centre on Tuesday, December 11th, 2018 in her 101st year. She will be forever remembered, loved and missed by her children: James (Marina), Leo, Helen, Joseph (Joan), Edward (Theresa), Gerald (Suzan), Richard (Sharon) Isabelle (Louis); grandchildren: Beverley, Fabian, David, Joanne, Tammy, Natalie, Dennis, Jennifer, Jonathan, Peter, Karen, Tara, Carla, Eddy, Scott, Michelle, Chrystal, Jennifer, Kelly, Jimmy, Richard and Jillian; a large circle of great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; brothers: Joseph, Fred and Roddy; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Predeceased by her parents John and Clara Belle MacPherson, husband James Hartley, daughter Margaret Barry, son Thomas Hartley, and granddaughter Donna Barry, brother Allan MacPherson and sisters Clara MacInnis, Mary Dwyer and Milley Wessell. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Palliative Care and Long Term Care, Dr. Whitten and receptionist Wendy for the care they have shown to our mother, and Father Terry for his many prayers and visits with Edna. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, December 13th at 10 A.M. from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mt. Bernard Avenue with Father Terry officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer Parish, P.O. Box 1108, Corner Brook, NL, A2H 6T2.
