Mountainview Retirement Centre It is with great sadness, a lifetime of memories and much gratefulness for a life well lived that the family of Eric Bailey announce his passing at the Palliative Care Unit of Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 93. Lovingly remembered by daughters: Judy Parsons (Manzel), Corner Brook; Carolyn Anderson, Calgary; sons: Donald (Susan), Deer Lake; Sean (Kellie), Gander; son-in-law Rod Oxford (Dianne Buckle-Oxford), Corner Brook; sister Ella Major, Ontario; grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Erika Parsons-Webber (Donnie) (Liam) and Nicole LaFosse (Coady) (Nicholas and Benjamin); Sarah (Chris) Gaskin (Madelyn) and Scott (Beverley) Oxford (Ben); Amy (Donald) Crocker (Luke and Lily) and Bradley Bailey; Gregory Bailey and Laura Bailey; Kayla (Carson Hoffman), Matthew Anderson, Jenna Anderson and their father Paul Anderson; step-grandchildren: Kendra and Alex Stares; brothers and sisters-in-law: Gerald Hutchings, Ralph Humber, Emily Bailey, from Corner Brook and Mildred Crocker of Trout River; many other cherished family members and friends, including friends and staff from Mountainview Retirement Centre where he resided. Predeceased by wife Joyce (2008) nee Crocker; daughter Christine Oxford (1992); son Keith (1957), parents: Edward and Annie (Randell) Bailey; mother and father-in-law: James and Marjorie Crocker; brothers: William (Bessie) and Bertram; sisters: Elizabeth (Al) Rowe, Ruby (William) Rowsell and infant sister Clara; brothers-in-law: William Crocker and Louis Major; sisters-in-law: Roberta Hutchings, Ena Humber and Morella Ball. Family and friends will be received at Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Tuesday, March 5 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will take place at All Saints Anglican Church, Premier Drive with Rev. Tanya White and The Most Rev. Percy D Coffin officiating on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at 2 o’clock. Interment at the Anglican Townsite Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Anglican Townsite Cemetery Fund or to All Saints' Church Memorial Fund.
