REGULAR Gertrude Maud (nee Langford) Jan 13, 1934 - Nov 5, 2019 Passed away peacefully in her 85th year at the Long Term Care Facility in Corner Brook, Newfoundland. She will be greatly missed by her son Willis (Kim), her brother Willis (Bertha), her grandchildren Laura-Lee (Bob), Miranda, Logan (Amy), her niece Marilyn (Jim), her cousin Daphny, her dear friends Sarah, Linda (Stan), Eilene (Victoria) and Violet. "Gertie" as she was known to most of her friends and family was born and raised in the White Bay to her parents Maxwell and Alfreda along with her brother Willis. Gertie was the most caring and loving person, was always concerned more about others than her own personal well being. She enjoyed the many visitors she had to her home and looked forward to them. She will be missed by her family dearly, especially around family gatherings where she organized and prepared most of the meals and mothered her grand kids who she dearly loved. It is with a heavy heart that we announce her passing. A special thanks to Eilene for her continued support of Gertie for the past several years. A Celebration of Life will be held in Ontario, time and place to be announced.
