BUTT Jessie Mt. Moriah, NL May 8, 1932 – August 1, 2019 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jessie Butt announce her passing on Thursday, August 1st, 2019 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Home at the age of 87 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Carrie Butt, Clarice Carroll, Jocelyn Maxwell (Terry) and Darrell; partner Jack Sheppard; eleven grandchildren: Shelley (Vlad Alviani), Tina (Wayne Fitzgerald), Danielle, Dion, Terri Jane (Darcy Andrews), Matthew (Lindsay), Jennifer (George Sexton), Bradley, Dwayne (Ashley), Frankie (Angelina), and Chantel (Mark Joy); great grandchildren: Bianca, Giuliano, Brooklyn, Kylie, Joshua, Sophia, Riley, Halle, Brandon, Brady, Ethan, Makayla, Joshua, Kylea, Ryan, Aiden, Abbi, Linnea and Hunter; brother: Clifton Parsons; sisters: Pearl Crocker, Sarah Langdon, Carrie Bishop, Dorothy Parsons and Grace Nichols (Melvin); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jessie was predeceased by her husband, Frank (1977), son, Earl, son-in-law Ronald Carroll, parents George and Sarah Parsons, infant sister Bernice, sister-in-law Dorothy Parsons, brothers-in-law Bursy Crocker, Lester Langdon, Guy Bishop and Gordon Parsons. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, August 5th at 2:00 P.M. from Memorial United Church in Curling with Reverend Alice Moores officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation.
