Joan Anstey

Corner Brook, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joan Anstey announce her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on June 4th, 2018 at the age of 61 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories, her husband Gord Anstey; daughters and best friends: Lori (Gerrard Webb) and Crystal; her sisters: Beatrice Buckley, Lorraine Prosper, Naomi Taupe, Carolyn Willis, and Audrey Anstey; her brother Glenn Anstey (Brenda Hollahan); the second love of her life, her grandson Cameron; special friends; Brenda Power, Verna Sandor, Dan and Gwen Cullihall; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Joan was predeceased by her parents Wilfred & Effie Maude Ivony; sister Mary Squires; sister-in-law Judy Anstey; and brother-in-law Gilbert Willis. At Joan’s’ request, cremation has taken place. Visitation for friends and family will be held at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 2:30 pm from where a funeral service will take place at the Country Haven Chapel at 4:30 pm with Rev. Roberta Woodman officiating. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
