Mabel Edna Maxwell

Corner Brook, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mabel Edna Maxwell announce her passing on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook in her 94th year. Mabel was the last surviving member of the late James and Alfreda Prosper. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: David (Linda) of Gander, Garry (Elizabeth) of Corner Brook, Dianne (Percey) Chaytor of Glenwood, Rod (Sherry) of Corner Brook, and Lorne of Gander; grandchildren: Shawn, Natasha, Jamie, Janice, Tracy-Lynn, Chantal, Leigh-Ann, Adrienne, and Sabrina; great-grandchildren: Lucas, Chloe, Joshua, Kelsey, Zachary, Cassidy, Loughlyn, and Taylor. She was predeceased by her husband Minto in 2017; her siblings: Mary Elizabeth, Myrtle, Victoria, Blanche, Stanley, Rendell, and Harold; parents-in-law John and Gertrude Maxwell. At Mabel’s request, cremation has taken place. The Funeral Service will take place from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Main Street on Wednesday, March 6th, at 2 p.m. with The Very Rev. Catherine Short officiating. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
