Mary Donahue (nee Companion)

Halfway Point, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Donahue announce her passing on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Corner Brook Long Term Care at the age of 93 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Maureen Hickey, Alphonsus Donahue, Angela (Rick) Cabot, Terry (Debbie) Donahue and Rosemarie (Alfred) Ford; grandchildren: Keith, Jason, Janelle, Gordie, Eleanor, Heather, Jonathan, Jeremy and Vanessa; great-grandchildren; sister Melinda Alexander; special friend Ann Rumboldt; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Kevin Donahue, son-in-law Bill Hickey, parents Audge and Rebecca Companion, brothers Ralph, Joseph, Percy and Ken. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Tuesday from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, April 3 at 10:30 a.m. from Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish, Benoit’s Cove with Father Terry Boland officiating. Cremation to follow with interment at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, the CNIB or charity of one’s choice.
