Rheta Winter (nee Hann)

Passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 4 at The Village of Riverside Glen in Guelph, Ontario at the age of 80. Rheta is survived by her loving husband Frank Winter, her sons Peter Janes (Janet) and David Janes (Joy) and her brother Christopher Hann (Audrey) and their son Jason. She will be sadly missed by grandchildren Elizabeth Janes, Sonya Carroll (Sean), Paula Mann (Chris) and Andrew Janes. Proud great-grandmother of Riley, Charlie, Georgia and Max. Rheta was born September 12, 1938 in Our Harbour, Newfoundland to parents Edgar and Dora Hann. After confederation, Rheta moved to Burgeo, Newfoundland and on to Corner Brook following school graduation. She then moved to Toronto, Mississauga and eventually retired in the community of Hillsburgh, Ontario. There she enjoyed many days working in her flower and vegetable gardens and reading. Rheta was a loving wife and mother who will be sadly missed by her family and friends. As per Rheta’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal memorial service.
