Shirley Celeste O'Neill (nee Carberry)

Pasadena, NL It is with heavy hearts that the family of Shirley O’Neill announce her passing. She passed away peacefully on November 11th, 2018, on her 87th birthday, surrounded by her family. Shirley was born November 11th, 1931 in Corner Brook Newfoundland, the daughter of Lionel Carberry and Hannah Carberry. She was predeceased by her Husband, Terrance O’Neill, her daughter Margaret (Peggy) Clarke, parents Lionel and Hannah, brothers Gordon, Austin, and Ralph, and sisters Mary, and Hilda. She will be sadly missed by her children: Thomas, Judith (Calvin) Burridge, Mary (John) Hutchings, Carol (Craig) King, Sharon (Harold) Evans, and Lori (Chris) Harnett. Her eleven grandchildren: Bradley, Eugene, Janice, Paul, Charlene, Andrew, Jennifer, Renee, Katie, Patrick, and Meghan. She will also be missed by her eleven great-grandchildren. Also leaving to mourn her sisters Alma of Texas, Audrey of Halifax, and Carolyn of Corner Brook; sisters-in-law: Margaret Elliott, Genevieve Caddigan, Sheila Martyn, Regina Murphy and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank the tremendous support they received from the Nurses and Dr.’s and support staff at Western Health, and a special thank you to Dr. Ahmed. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, November 15th at 2:00 PM from All Hallow Parish on Humber Road with Father Andrew White officiating. Interment to take place at a later date.
