Corner Brook, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Stewart William Osmond (Bill) announce his sudden passing on Monday, March 12, 2018 in his 86th year at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving his wife of 63 years Wilhelmina; sons: Doug, Craig (Lynn) and Peter (Debbie); grandchildren: Crista (Cory), Cory (Carla), Spencer, Emily, Shawn (Laura) and Nikki (Scott); great-grandchildren: Tyler, Kassidy, Gabrielle, Nicholas and Max. Bill was a Korean War Veteran, a long term member of the Corner Brook Masonic Lodge #11 and the Long Range Mountain Shrine Club. He was predeceased by his parents Stewart and Flora Osmond, sister Ramona and brother Ken, mother and father-in-law William and Emily Mitchell and several brothers and sisters-in-law. Bill was an active member of the First United Church and various committees over the years. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Wednesday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 15 at 2:00 p.m. from First United Church, Park Street with Rev. John van Vliet officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As per Bill’s wishes, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Corner Brook Shrine Travel Fund, the First United Church Restoration Fund or a charity of one’s choice.
