Stephenville Crossing, NL It is with heavy hearts that the family of the Late Phyllis Joy announce her passing at her family residence in Stephenville Crossing, NL on Wednesday, November 29, 2018 at the age of 76 years. She will be forever remembered and loved by her children: Judy Joy, Jacki Joy (Bob Janjanin), David Joy (Colin Lake); granddaughter Danna Joy (Brad); brother Wayne Swyer; sisters: Margaret (Reg) Simmonds, Georgina Jesso; nursing staff and retired nurses of Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital; fellow Clergy of the Anglican Diocese of Western Newfoundland as well as nieces, nephew other family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents James and Martha Swyer. To honour and respect Phyllis’s wishes, cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium, Pasadena, NL. Visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 37 West St., Stephenville Crossing, NL on Monday, December 3, 2018 between the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 2 p.m. from Assumption Parish in Stephenville Crossing with The Right Reverend John Organ officiating. A private family Inurnment in the All Saint’s Anglican Church Cemetery will take place at a later date.
