Vera Joan Raike (nee Simmonds)
The family of the late Vera Joan Raike (nee Simmonds) announce her passing on February 10th, 2018 in Kingston, Ontario. Vera was born in Glenburnie, Bonne Bay, NL, on May 12, 1931. Vera was the wife of the late John S. (Jack) Raike, mother of Ralph (Betty); grandmother of Susan, the late John Leslie and Robert (Julie); great-grandmother of Violet; sister of Pauline Kenneth (Brian), John Simmonds (Marilyn) and Audrey McVeigh (James). A memorial service and internment will take place on Tuesday, August 14th, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Church of the Resurrection, Birchy Head, Bonne Bay, NL. Refreshments will follow.
