Re: “Man recounts story of redemption,” Adam McInnis’s story about Anthony Tibbo and his encounter with God’s Word in Scripture. Thank you for including this positive article in your Oct. 3 edition.

And to us, who claim ourselves as Christian, and indeed all people of good will, in times when we feel afraid, or hesitant to share our faith, let us never underestimate the impact a good word, action or, in this case, the giving of a Bible, can have on an individual.

Let us try our very best to be a light in our world and continue to look for signs of hope and transformation, journeying with others in compassion, openness and understanding.

Best wishes for your future, Mr. Tibbo!
