Greta Thunberg was recently “pre-beatified” by the Church of Sweden, further proof — not that any is needed — that the obsession with C02 is indeed a cult.
Her mother says that she can see it.
It brings to mind the Children’s Crusade of 1212 or the cults of Lourdes and Fatima, the latter two being very profitable for promoters. She has been nominated for the Nobel Prize following in the wake of other notable winners such as former U.S. president Barack Obama. Positively Seinfeldian in terms of banality.
She arrived in New York City aboard a $20-million yacht with a carbon-fibre hull. It was equipped with an electric motor in case of emergencies. (Wind power always requires backup.) Some of the crew had to fly to New York to sail it back. These matters were conveniently ignored by the some in the mainstream media.
In her diatribe to the UN she informed the world that her childhood had been stolen and the end is nigh because of fossil fuels.

She wants to end fossil fuel use but offers no plan how to get to nirvana. Post-address she embarked on a procession across the United States as an emissary of eco-tourism, the carbon footprint of which is not mentioned in dispatches. Not exactly a stolen childhood.
What she proposes is eco-facism/imperialism on a global scale; a reversion to the poverty of the pre-fossil fuel state for the developed world and a continuation of same for the developing world. There are currently an estimated 1.3 billion people living without benefit of fossil fuels and the associated primitive and dangerous daily existence.
Mothers die in childbirth. Children die in childbirth and during childhood. They do not have light. They do not have access to clean water. They cook over open fires in enclosed spaces.
And because of poverty children are used as economic assets and forced to work in appalling conditions. Child miners producing cobalt for the electric vehicles in the west comes to mind.
There is some evidence of a more rational world.
In her own country, according to a You Gov poll, 54 per cent of Swedes do not support her position.
Petteri Taalas, secretary general of the World Meteorological Organization, said recently that “a slightly warmer climate is not going to be the end of the world.”
A recent petition to the UN by 500 climate scientists stated that there is no climate emergency consistent with the 2007/08 Global Warming Petition signed by 31,487 scientists (representing 9,029 PhDs). All of which was ignored by a complicit mainstream media.
So what is going on?

Many believe that the UN- Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is promoting mass hysteria in order to undermine what remains of free markets/capitalism and redistribute the accumulated wealth of western society to the developed world.

The result would be a world with an 18th-century standard of living.
Close to home, the economic destruction of Newfoundland and Labrador society proceeds. As they did with Muskrat Falls, 80 per cent of voters will vote for parties that will destroy Canada’s resource sector.
Eric Bowring was right in 1933.
Meanwhile, satellite observations have found that China is building some 290 gigawatts of coal-fired power. And coal demand is expected to rise by 27 per cent in the coming year.
Informed debate on these matters is non-existent. Censorship is de jure.

However, carbon sinners can purchase indulgences from the Church of the Climate Apocalypse, a branch of the federal Liberal Party.
