Frank Humber struck out eight batters on Tuesday evening as his Veitch’s Ultramar Hawks beat the Wing’n It Marlins 7-2 at Jubilee Field.

Humber allowed two runs (zero earned) on six hits in his 6.1 innings of work. Aaron Purcel Pilgrim struck out two of the three batters he faced, walking the other.

Fred Prosper and Mike Simms were both 2-for-4 on the evening in the win, with Prosper scoring three runs, and Simms scoring once and driving in a pair. Lucas Park was 2-fo-3 with two runs scored.

Nathan Burt was the top hitter for the Marlins, going 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

Sean Anderson pitched the complete game in the loss, surrendering seven runs (six earned) on 13 hits, with three strikeouts and a walk.
