The annual minor baseball tournament began Friday and has a full slate of games scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.

None of the fields being used were in any condition for play with steady rainfall Saturday morning.

It was hoped the rain would taper off and the fields could be ready to resume play at 2 p.m.

More than 30 teams in female, mosquito, peewee and bantam divisions are involved in the tournament being played on five fields throughout Corner Brook.
