PETERBOROUGH, Ont. — Trent University has announced the signing of Isaac Avery from Clarenville.

Avery has played volleyball for seven years, including for the Clarenville High School Cougars and Eastern Impact Club.

"I am very excited to play for the Trent men's team, I am looking forward to this new experience and to be able to play at the next level," Isaac said in a news release issued by the team. "I was lucky enough to visit the university before making my decision and I really liked it! The campus looks really nice and being by the river is awesome. "

"We are excited to have Isaac join us in the fall," said Chris Wilding, head coach of the men's volleyball program. "He will enter Trent with an exceptional skill set and will definitely add to our depth at the Libero position. We look forward to working with him."

Avery is a multi-sport athlete, having been with his local swim team since he was eight. He will be studying science starting in the fall.
