Corner Brook Intermediate takes title at Newfoundland and Labrador Volleyball Association's 14U female provincial championships

The Corner Brook Intermediate Storm Black won the Tier 1 championship at the Newfoundland and Labrador Volleyball Association's 14U female provincials over the weekend. The Corner Brook Intermediate Storm Black 8s didn’t disappoint the hometown crowd at the Newfoundland and Labrador Volleyball Association’s 14U female provincial championships over the weekend in the city.

The team won the gold medal in Tier 1 of the tournament, defeating the Exploits Valley Intermediate Eagles 2-0 (28-26, 25-10) in the final. They were undefeated during the tournament.

Frank Roberts Junior High beat the Heritage Huskies 2-0 (25-19, 25-21) for the Tier 1 bronze medal.

The Tier 2 gold medal went to Tricentia Academy after they posted a 2-1 (25-15, 16-25, 15-9) triumph over Corner Brook Intermediate 7s.

The St. James Regional High Saints of Port aux Basques downed Brookside Intermediate 2-1 (25-16, 10-25, 15-9) to take the Tier 2 bronze medal.
