Corner Brook has a number of budding youth bowlers going to Saskatchewan to test their mettle against the best in Canada.

The Corner Brook Centre Bowl will send two two-member teams and two singles bowlers to the 2018 Youth Bowling Canada nationals March in Regina.

Brooklyn Stride, a silver medal winner in Bantam Girls Singles at the 2017 YBC Nationals, teamed up with 10-year-old Abby Tiller to win gold at provincials and earn the right to represent Newfoundland and Labrador on the national scene in the Bantam Girls Team event.

Jordan Park and Kevin MacKenzie, both 14, will represent the province in the Junior Boys Team event after winning top honours at the provincial YBC event earlier this year.

Samantha Davis, certainly no stranger to the national YBC scene, will represent the province in Senior Girls Singles, while Cody Jacobs will be gunning for gold in the Bantam Boys Singles event.
