Susan Curtis foursome at 3-2 at Travelers

Susan Curtis is now 3-2 at the 2016 Travelers Curling Club Championship after picking up a 7-2 victory over Prince Edward Island’s Sharon Horne Wednesday afternoon at the Kelowna Curling Club.

The Curtis foursome out of the Corner Brook Curling Club, which also includes Kathy Miles, Sigrid Fitzpatrick and Pat Spracklin, lost by an 8-3 spread to Manitoba’s Tracey Andries, leader in the women’s B Pool, in her first loss of the tournament.

The Newfoundland and Labrador representatives posted a 6-3 win over Quebec’s Nathalie Gagnon to keep them in the hunt in B Pool.

Curtis opened the tournament with a 9-4 win over Kelli Stevenson-Beda of Northern Ontario.

Curtis and company had a late showdown Wednesday night against North West Territories, an 8-3 loss.
