A four-goal effort from Colton Bishop helped power the Elwood High Lakers to a 16-3 throttling of the Stephenville High Spartans Monday night in action from the West Coast High School Hockey League.

Isaiah Caines and Josh Shears both contributed hat tricks to the winning total, while Joshua Osbourne (2), Brett Urquhart, Jonathan Park, Elliott Dicks and Bradin Burden also found the back of the net in the victory at the Hodder Memorial Recreation Complex.

Park and Burden both registered three assists.

Brady Marche, Devon Estoppey, and Nick Woolridge replied for the Spartans in the losing effort.

The Lakers held a 5-1 advantage after the first period, before doing most of their damage in the second, scoring 10 times to take a 15-2 lead into the third frame.
