Forget about the cat and the bag, who let Chuba out of the Hubbard?

While Chuba Hubbard might have been a household name limited to local high-school football circles back when he was running circles around defenders, the Oklahoma State Cowboys running back is the farthest thing from as state secret as his popularity has skyrocketed across the continent on his way to leading the NCAA in rushing this season.

And while making his way into the Heisman finalist conversation, Hubbard’s even been receiving endorsements from famous Canadians such as Howie Mandell and even the Great One, himself.

“It’s crazy, I’d never think Howie Mandel or Wayne Gretzky would know who I am or if they’ve even heard of what a Chuba is,” Hubbard said. “So it’s definitely crazy and it’s an honour to have guys of that stature actually know about me and be rooting for me.”
