Three lopsided games during Corner Brook Touch Football League play

Sunday was the day of blowouts in the Corner Brook Coors Light Touch Football League.

The first game saw the Winmar Raiders stomp all over the Gophers 26-2.

Matt Roche led the way for the Raiders, throwing for two touchdowns with Mike Mcphee catching both. Roche also ran in a third and returned an interception for the fourth touchdown.

Brandon Miller added two sacks on defense for the Raiders.

The one bright spot for the Gophers was Matt Hancock who picked up a sack for a safety.

In the second game of the day ,it was the Broncos beating up on the Boston Pizza Knights 40-6.

Ryan Barry was the leader on offensive for the Broncos, throwing four touchdown passes and running in a single point convert.

Touchdowns were spread out among Cory Jones, Josh Inniss, Ryan Park and Tyler Wells.

On defense the Broncos were led by Peter Rose with two interceptions and Josh Inniss with three sacks.

Leading the way for the Knights was Michael White who threw a touchdown to Jacob Evoy. White added an interception on defense.

In the final game of the day, Marine Lounge blanked the Pirates 40-0.

Harry Patterson was the offensive leader, throwing for six touchdowns with Robert Wheeler and Garrick McLaughlin both catching two touchdowns and Paul Prosper and Evan Brake adding single scores.

Evan Brake added three sacks on defense for the Mariners.

The Pirates weren't able to offer much on either side of the ball.

Next Sunday’s games see Marine Lounge against the Knights at 10 a.m., the Raiders up against the Pirates at 11:45 a.m., and the last game of the day has the Gophers playing the Gators at 1:30 p.m.
