Gavin Tucker won’t be back in the cage in Moncton Oct. 27.

Tucker, a native of Ship Cove, was poised to fight Andre Soukhamthath in a bantamweight bout at UFC Fight Night in Moncton.

In a Facebook post, Tucker said the fight is off due to health reasons.

He apologized to everybody who bought tickets and planned to travel to Moncton to see him perform in the cage.

He thanked his sponsors and fans for their continued support and he vowed that he will be healthy and back in action as soon as he possibly can.

He said he will do what he always does and turn this into another opportunity to grow.

Tucker hasn’t competed since taking a beating in his first professional loss at UFC 215.
