Blizzard waiting for Western Kings on first road trip

The boys from the west are going to find out if they have what it takes soon enough.

The Dennis GM Western Kings will make their first road trip of the season when they clash with the East Coast Blizzard in provincial major midget hockey league play this weekend in Goulds.

The Kings enter the weekend looking to extend their winning streak to three games, while the Blizzard will be looking to get in the win column after starting the season with two losses one week ago.

The Kings opened the season with a pair of wins over the TriPen Osprey — 3-1 and 5-2 scores — in a two-game set played at the Corner Brook Civic Centre.

The Blizzard were swept by the St. John’s Maple Leafs in a two-game series to open the 2017-18 provincial major midget hockey league season.
