CORNER BROOK, N.L. — Riley Simms scored the winning goal in overtime on Sunday as the Dennis GM Western Kings managed to push the provincial major midget hockey league final back to the west coast with a 3-2 win over the Tri Pen Osprey.

Other goalscorers weren’t available at press time.

The Osprey lead the best-of-seven final 3-2.

On Friday, the Kings picked up a 4-3 overtime win in Game 4.

Brett Urquhart (2), Noah Legge and William Keating supplied the offence in the victory.

Corey Parsons, Mark Rumsey and Luke Akerman did the damage for the Osprey.

Lucas Park made 45 saves in the win, while Riley Petten turned aside also turned aside 45 in the losing cause.

On Saturday, the Kings were doubled up 6-3 by the Osprey.

Reilly Mayne notched a hat trick, with Luke Akerman, Mark Rumsey and Mark Davis put up single markers.

Uruquhart, Lucas Robinson and Jake Cornick replied for the Kings.

Ben Williams earned the win in net, making 32 saves in the process. Lucas Wiseman stopped 35 in the loss.
