Clancy's Pub from Stephenville have retained the crown as champions of the Corner Brook Molson Women's Soccer League.

In a rematch of last year's final, the club from the airport town ousted the Island Orthotics Curling Rangers 4-0 in the championship game played at the Wellington Street Complex in Corner Brook this past weekend.

In the Corner Brook Molson Men's Soccer League championship game also played Saturday, the Northridge Curling Rangers rediscovered their winning ways by edging the West Side Monarchs 2-1 in extra time. The Monarchs had won the championship the three previous seasons.

The senior men’s and women’s soccer championships in Corner Brook will both be decided Saturday.

The final of the Corner Brook Molson Men’s Soccer League will pit the Curling Rangers against the defending champion West Side Monarchs. The regular-season champion Monarchs have won the senior men’s title the last three seasons, including a 3-1 win over the Rangers in the 2018 final.

The Rangers finished second in the 2019 regular season.

The team split their regular-season series, with each side winning once and playing to a draw on their other match.

On the women’s side, the Island Orthotics Curling Rangers will battle Clancy’s Pub of Stephenville. The Stephenville club is the defending champion after putting a halt to a four-year championship run by the Rangers squad in the 2018 final.
