The 2018 Grande Meadows Club Championships were held in Frenchman’s Cove Sept. 15-16.

Mike Russell fired a round of 77 to capture the Men's Club Championship. It was Russell’s second Club Championship, having previously won in 2009.

It gave Russell a two-day total of 158 after carding an opening day round of 81. Russell began Sunday in a three-way tie with Ray Walsh and Perry Stone for the lead after each had shot identical 81 scores on Saturday.

Russell carded a front 9 of 39 to open up a three-stroke lead over Walsh and six over Stone. Russell cruised through the back 9 with an even better 38 to pull away to a five-stroke win over two-time defending champion Matthew Hackett and 2015 winner Sam Warren. Hackett and Warren had two-day totals of 163 with Hackett shooting daily scores of 82 and 81 while Warren carded scores of 85 and 78.

Barry Stacey won the Men's Division A Low Net with a two-day total of 144 while Tony Mitchell finished second with a 145 total followed by Ray Walsh in third at 156.

Judy Drake captured the 2018 Ladies Club Championship by four strokes over defending champion Debbie Kenway.

Drake was in a tie for second with Betty Walsh after carding opening day scores of 95 to trail 2015 champion Jennifer Moulton who opened with a personal best round of 91. Drake fired a ladies low round of 92 on Sunday to give her a two day total of 187 while Kenway carded a 94 to go along with an opening 97 for a 191 total.

Walsh shot a 97 to go along with Saturday's 95 to finish in third place with a 192 total. Day 1 leader Moulton came in with a 102 score on Sunday to finish in fourth place with a 193 total.

Moulton won the Ladies Low net with a 143 total while Tracy Blagdon finished second with 145 while Marilyn McCarthy came in third at 149.

Mike Blagdon captured the Men's B Division title with a two-day total of 167, having daily scores of 83 and 84 to win by four strokes over Gary Smith who carded daily scores of 84 and 87 for a 171 total. Ches Kenway finished in third place with a 175 total with daily scores of 87 and 88 while Bob Banfield was alone in fourth place with a 176 total from daily scores of 86 and 90.

Ches Kenway won the Men's B Division Low Net with a 133 total while Chad Antle finished second at 146 followed by Richard Kelly in third at 148.

Kevin Pittman captured the Men's Senior A Division with a 180 total from scores of 92 and 88 to win by seven strokes over John Bugden who had a 187 total from scores of 92 and 95 while Al Lewis came in third with a two-day total of 191 with scores of 97 and 94.

John Bugden won the Men's Senior A Division Low Net with a 145 total followed by Bob Brenton at 152 and Frank Hodder at 157.

Dan Walsh won the Men's Senior B Division with a 192 total in a tie breaker over Eric Ayers who also carded a 192 total. Walsh's total came from daily scores of 96 and 96 while Ayers carded scores of 94 and 98. Dick Hanrahan finished in third place with a 194 total from scores of 102 and 92 while Everett Farwell followed closely in fourth place with a 195 total from scores of 100 and 95.

Everett Farwell won the Men's Senior Division Low Net with a 141 total followed by Dick Hanrahan at 146 and Dave Brenton at 153.
