The Corner Brook Intermediate 8s earned gold at the 14U female regional west volleyball tournament over the weekend.
The Corner Brook squad downed St. James Regional High of Port aux Basques in the final, taking two straight sets by scores of 25-10 and 25-14.
The eventual victors punched their ticket to the final with a 25-7, 25-4 win against Pasadena Academy in the semifinals.
St. James earned their spot in the final with a 25-20, 25-16 triumph over Corner Brook Intermediate 7s.
In the bronze medal game, Pasadena Academy beat the Corner Brook Intermediate 7s 25-22, 25-18.
