The first set of rankings for the Hall of Fame Cup (Elite Eight) championship was released by the Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association on Wednesday, with Corner Brook settling in at No. 7 in both the boys and girls rankings.
The selection committee has gathered scores of invitational tournaments, exhibition games and league play for the past two months. Results from tournaments and games held prior to Dec. 17 were included for the first set of rankings.
The second set of rankings is scheduled to be circulated in mid-January.
