Noah Bolton has a gold medal to show for his fine performance at the 2017 Atlantic Cup Short Track Speed Skating Championships.
Bolton, one of 13 athletes from the Humber Valley Speed Skating Club to participate in the meet, claimed a gold medal in Division 5 at the Canada Games East Link Centre in Charlotttetown, P.E.I., over the weekend.
The local club had a total of 13 skaters participate in the first competition of the season and several shared the spotlight by winning a medal.
Riley Earle claimed a silver medal in Division 9 as the second-fastest male skater and placed fifth overall in his division, while Christina Karn snagged a silver medal in Division 6.
Brook Motty won gold in Division 6, while her sister Julia Motty delivered a golden performance in Division 9 to finish up with five medals in total.
