CORNER BROOK, N.L. — The Cory Schuh rink of St. John’s emerged as 2019 provincial mixed curling champions on Sunday after securing a 6-3 win over the Trent Skanes rink, also of St. John’s, at the Corner Brook Curling Club.

The host Brian Bailey rink — also featuring Amy Hennebury, Stephen Shepherd and Donna Davis — went 2-4 and finished in fourth place, though their two victories came at the expense of Schuh by 5-3 and 6-1 scores respectively.

They lost 5-3 and 7-3 to Skanes, and 8-1 and 9-6 to the Keith Ryan rink of Labrador City.
