Second place for Lord’s Cove native at nationals

KINGSTON, ONT.

Lord’s Cove native Leo Papail placed second overall in the Masters 8K at the Canadian cross-country championships on Saturday, Nov. 24.

The event was held in Kingston, Ont.

Papail was fifth with 500 metres to go when he broke away from the field to pass three runners in front of him.

Papail now lives in Ontario and trains with the Newmarket Huskies. His team also won the men’s 30-plus division and the Masters Breslin Cup.
