CORNER BROOK: A clearer, cooler weekend is in store

Relief from the humidity is at hand as a large area of high pressure continues to move closer, bringing clearing conditions from west to east, winds shifting to the north, and cooler temperatures by the end of the weekend.

SW COAST:

  • WIND: NW 20 knots veering to N 15 knots in the afternoon.
  • WAVES: 1 to 2 metres.

SOUTH COAST:

  • WIND: SW 25 knots veering to NW 15 to 20 knots in the morning. Wind veering to N 25 knots in the afternoon.
  • WAVES: 1 to 2 metres.

EAST COAST- CAPE ST FRANCIS + SOUTH:

  • WIND: SW 25 knots veering to NW 15 to 20 knots in the morning. Wind veering to N 25 knots in the afternoon.
  • WAVES: 2 to 3 metres subsiding to 1 to 2 metres in the morning, then building to 2 to 3 metres in the evening.
