I harnessed my horses
Hitched them to the sleigh,
Because of the forecast
I heard from Miss Day.

The storm Cindy forecast
Must have gone astray,
There is just no sign of it
Coming our way.

Perhaps the high pressure inland
Pushed it out to sea
Or forces from the ocean
Sent it up to Miramichi

Leo Duggan and his horse.
Leo Duggan and his horse.

She promised us thirty
We didn't even get three,
But I still have faith
In our forecaster Cindy

It's not a fine science
By no means at all,
Regardless of the season
Winter spring summer or fall.

I am sure next time
She will be spot on,
Just as she was
When she predicted White Juan!

When I hear her next snow-cast
I'll hitch up my team,
So Cindy Day's promise
can fulfill my dream!

She's an amazing forecaster
Correct most every day,
Enhanced when reflecting
On what Grandma would say!
