Some parts of our region looked like they belonged on a postcard Tuesday morning. A few hours before the sun came up, a delicate coasting of ice turned backyards into a set from Frozen.
Freezing fog ...
Fog can form when cool air moves over a warm, moist surface like a body of water or damp soil. However, in the case of freezing fog, the air temperature is below freezing and the water droplets in the fog become supercooled. They freeze when they land on cold objects such tree branches and overhead lines.
