Wildcats Roar — Our Lady of MercySchool
By Kaylee Sullivan

ST. GEORGE’S Students at our Lady Of Mercy are getting really excited about the Christmas holidays, but until we’re out of school and into the new year, teachers and staff are trying their best to make the next two weeks of school merry and fun.

This Monday is Candy Cane Day. Students will dress up like a candy cane in red, white and green to show off their spirit for the holidays.

Tuesday we travel to Stephenville to see the coldest movie of the year, “Frozen.”

Then on Wednesday we get to dress up like our favourite Christmas character. You can get inspiration from watching our Grade 8 students performing “A Christmas Carol” for our students and staff.

A couple of really nice people will cook the whole school a lovely Christmas dinner on Thursday, and later on in the night we will have a lot of fun and joyfulness at our Christmas concert.

Then the time all students and staff have been waiting for, school will close Friday afternoon, but not before having one last activity — students and staff will wear Christmas accessories and earn points for their house teams.

From everyone at Our Lady of Mercy, have a Merry Christmas and enjoy the holidays.
