James Cutler and Janelle Marchand enjoy tossing the frisbee in Margaret Bowater Park on Tuesday. Although the park pool doesn't officially open till July there were people braving the water for a dip as they enjoyed the sunny weather, while others were just sitting under a big tree looking for a bit of shade.

Returning to Corner Brook where I was born with my daughter & Granddaughter - son of the late Major T. S . Howard who came to CB in 1922 with Armstrong Witworth as Treasurer of the new Pulp & Paper Mill to be with my Mother & three sisters & lived at 11 COBB Lane which I believe still stands. Also had a fishing cottage on the lower Humber opposite Steady Brook so we wonder if it still exists ! We are really looking forward to our return to return & onward visit to St. John's. Staying at the Glynmill Inn - the original burned the day I was born !! - Bob Howard - Houston, Texas
