The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) have arrested and charged a 50-year-old male resident of Corner Brook for assault, in addition to charges for failing to comply with a court order.

On Tuesday at about 9:45 a.m. members of RNC's patrol services responded to an incident in the area of Herald Avenue. A 52-year-old female victim was pushed to the ground during the altercation and sustained what police describe as non–life threatening injuries that did not require medical attention.
