House fire in Curling deemed accidental

Royal Newfoundland Constabulary

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has deemed a residential fire on Musseau’s Avenue in Corner Brook early Tuesday morning as accidental.

As a result of the examination of the residence by an RNC fire investigator and the force's Forensic Identification Section, investigators have determined the fire to be accidental in nature and no criminal charges are expected.

The RNC and the Corner Brook Fire Department responded to the house fire at 8 Musseau’s Avenue around 12:10 am Tuesday morning. Upon arrival, the residence was engulfed in flames and damage was extensive.

A man and woman, and their pet dog, were able to evacuate the residence safely.
